So you might think the Rogue Network are a rock band, right? Hmm maybe! With some of those fat guitar riffs, you could be right. Looks at tracks like 'Operator'!
Other people have described them as a heavy blues/soul band, saying the vocal melodies and feel of the songs have a lot more than straight-up rock. Look at tracks like 'Psycho Stranger' or 'This Is Reality'.
So then, where do you put a track like 'Venodotia'?
You decide! Whatever you want to call them, they're a high-quality 3-piece that keep on churning out great, timeless music. Catchy hooks and memorable choruses descieve to a great writing talent. It's evident that they pour their heart and soul into each song, which tells us these guys are all about the music, no pretence.
Recent:
August 2019 saw the Rogue Network settle on a new line-up i.e. Ross Savory and Mattew Tsinontas and since then the band have been focusing on writing new material. And they're written A LOAD of new material! An album is certainly being discussed at the moment, but a new single is due to be released in August 2020 as soon as the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions will permit. So look out people! Once the first 2020 release is underway, the band plan on recording and releasing material regularly throughout the rest of the year.
“The Rogue Network are a blast of contemporary blues, full of carefully crafted songs pumped up by big riffs and driving grooves.”
“The Rogue Network are a little piece of heaven. It’s that kind of good-time, utopian land-of-excess vibe that Rogue Network are tapping into. The Rogue Network EP is full-on grooves, laid-back guitar riffs and sunshiney vocals, topped up with some fantastically fuzzy bass parts that will reverberate around your eardrums and put a smile on your face. The Rogue Network has captured the essence of the blues rock genre in the same way the Black Keys did a couple of years ago. It’s all about the simple, repetitive bass that gets into your soul and lyrics that speak to troubled hearts about nothing but good times.”

“The Rogue Network are a 3-piece band whose music is heavily influenced by the blues/soul sounds of the 60s & 70s, but on a background of dirty guitars and analogue synths the music has an altogether different and more dynamic feel.”

“The Rogue Network are my favourite new music discovery! Bands who refuse to be pigeonholed are the heroes of the contemporary underground. While aiming at being different, these musicians have to work extra hard to get themselves heard. However, the listeners who discover such gems are usually rewarded with really good music and an utter listening pleasure. Their music has a strong identity with the kind of arresting confidence that sparkles in every line. A debut, four-track EP the band have under their belts is a collection of songs ruled by head-grow-dizzy, dirty guitars, thick bass, thunderous drums and impressive songwriting. While it might seem that The Rogue Network took a relatively short time to write and record the EP, it’s by no means a rushed record. All the four songs sound as if the band had formed years ago: the do have this sort of chemistry – the mutual understanding that shows even through your headphones. Once you start listening to this EP you immediately realise that there’s something about this record that captures you, makes you fall in love with it, though the nature of this feeling is not palpable at all. The Rogue Network might yet be an emerging band, but they have this power and determination not all new bands possess. And they do write exceptionally good tunes. So if you’re on the lookout for some great fresh music, go for The Rogue Network and have yourself some real good time”.
